About Me
I am a Graphic Designer, Illustrator and creative explorer. I've been working in the design industry for over 10 years, as a designer, a studio manager, a franchise owner, a company director and now as a Creative Director. Design for me is a way of life and I encourage everyone I meet to engage with their creative side, after all we were all artists once.
Skills
Illustration
I'm never happier than when I've had the opportunity to put pen to paper, in my professional life and my personal life. I experiment with various styles, from cartoon to watercolours.
Art Direction
A keen eye, experience and communication skills allow me to guide other designers and photographers so that we always get the best end result for our clients.
Layout
Setting out structured pieces of design that engage, communicate and draw the eye around the page is an art form in itself. A skill I have spent many years polishing and perfecting.
Design software
I have been lucky enough to spend the last 2 years exploring all that Creative Cloud has to offer. Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign are now my go to tools on a daily basis.
Creative thinker
'The Big Idea' is a lot more than divine intervention. Creative thinking takes practise and the considered use of lateral thinking tools to open the creative floodgates.
Design Management
I have learnt to not only manage the design process but also manage the people within it. From designer, to account manager to client, I help to make the process run as smoothly as possible.
